Hesgoal Live Football App: What It Does

Football is the reason most people install the app. This page states exactly what the build does on a matchday, and what it cannot do.

What it does

The app queries third-party sources for football events and the links attached to them. It presents the entries it receives and plays a selected link with Media3 / ExoPlayer. When the source has coverage, the app has something to show. When it does not, the list is short or empty.

Playback can continue in the background through a declared media foreground service, so audio keeps running when you switch apps. The player supports the codecs Media3 supports; it does not transcode or repair a bad source.

The current build is version 3.3, 4.76 MB, for Android 7.0 and newer. Get it from the download page and compare the hash before you install.

Capabilities

What the build supports

Read the conditional rows carefully. They are the difference between a working install and a working match.

What happens on a matchday

The app has no fixture feed of its own. It does not know kick-off times, and it does not schedule anything. On a matchday, the listing depends on whether a source has picked the fixture up, whether that source is reachable from your network, and whether the link still resolves when you tap it.

That is why the app can look full for one competition and empty for another on the same evening. It is also why a link that worked at kick-off can fail at half-time: the host rotates or drops the session, and the app has no fallback it did not receive from a source.

If nothing lists, the install is probably fine. The troubleshooting guide explains how to confirm that before you reinstall anything.

What it does not do

  • It does not host video or run its own CDN.
  • It does not hold rights to the Premier League, Champions League, La Liga, Bundesliga or any other competition.
  • It does not provide fixtures, scores, tables or line-ups.
  • It does not let you record or download a match.
  • It does not cast from inside the app; screen mirroring is handled by Android.
  • It does not guarantee that a match will be listed or will play.

Two permissions are worth checking before you install. SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW allows overlays and REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES allows install prompts; neither is needed to play a match. The app is free and ad-supported through AdMob, with Firebase Analytics included. Review both permissions in Android settings and deny them unless you have a specific reason.

Device support

The package is a universal APK with a minimum of Android 7.0 (API 24) and a target SDK of 37. It installs on phones, tablets, Android TV boxes and Fire TV. On TV there is no leanback launcher entry, so you need a sideload launcher or a file manager to open it. The device guide lists the form factors, and the TV guide covers the install path.

There is no iOS build and no native Windows or macOS build. Emulators are not a supported target, and performance there says nothing useful about a phone.

Install and verify

Sideloading is a three-step process: allow installs from the file manager you use, open the APK, and confirm the install. The install guide covers the Android version differences. Before installing, compare the SHA-256 on the hash page and review the permission list on the safety page. Overlay and install-packages access are not needed for playback.

The legal route for football

Domestic league rights are usually held by one or two broadcasters per country, and continental competitions are sold separately. Those broadcasters publish fixtures and provide a supported app. If you want a guaranteed picture, that is the route. The watch hubs cover the major competitions, the alternatives guide lists services by region, and the legal guide explains the copyright position without pretending it is settled.

No fixture, no guarantee. The app is a client for third-party links. It cannot promise a match, a competition or a working stream, and it holds no broadcast rights. Use a licensed broadcaster when certainty matters.

Questions

Football questions

Does the app show every football match?
No. It lists what its third-party sources return. There is no fixture list, no rights agreement and no guarantee that a specific match will appear.
Does it show live scores or tables?
No. The build has no football data layer. It surfaces links; it is not a scores, fixtures or standings service.
Can I use it on a TV?
Yes, by sideloading. There is no leanback launcher entry, so you will need a sideload launcher or a file manager on the TV. See the Android TV guide.
Does it work on iPhone or Windows?
No. There is no iOS build and no native Windows or macOS build. The package is Android-only, with a universal APK for ARM and x86 devices.
Is it legal to use for football?
It depends on your country and on whether the source is licensed there. The app holds no rights. The legal guide covers the framework, and the watch hubs point to licensed coverage.
